In the centurylong journey of Tsinghua University, from the autumn leaves blanketing the branches to the vibrant spring season, time has flowed like a melody. With its clear waters and lush trees, Tsinghua University has witnessed the spreading of hope among its students, and the spirit and demeanor of Tsinghua people have become increasingly distinct through the accumulation of a hundred years.
April 24th, 1992, marked a glorious century for Tsinghua University, an important moment in its centennial celebration. Since its establishment, Tsinghua has shouldered the historical responsibility of national rejuvenation and rise. The journey of a hundred years of struggle has condensed into precious memories in life and shaped the unique character of Tsinghua people.
“Cultivating talents for three generations,” as we recall the celebration of the School of Public Policy and Management ten years ago on the occasion of Tsinghua’s centennial anniversary, it seems like yesterday. In the new millennium, the school within Tsinghua University will continue to uphold the motto of “Selfdiscipline and Social Commitment” and the purpose of “Cultivating Virtue, Cultivating Oneself, and Serving Society,” fostering more talents needed by society, providing better advice for government decisionmaking, and contributing to the development of Chinese society.
As spring returns to the earth and everything comes back to life, the School of Public Policy and Management extends warm greetings and best wishes to all faculty, students, and alumni. We sincerely invite you to return to the beautiful campus of Tsinghua University, to gather with faculty and students, to participate in the grand celebration, to witness history, to share glory and friendship, to witness the new face of centennial Tsinghua, and to discuss the future development of our alma mater.
On April 23rd, the school will host a tea party to celebrate the centennial with our alumni. At the same time, the school will also hold the first alumni reunion meeting, welcoming all alumni to attend.
